Lesson 10.7

Hello again everyone!

In today's class we've created some images with AI. The first part was individual, so I've asked Copilot to create an image of a kid reading in a forest with fairies flying all around.

This is how it turned out:

And then, in groups, we needed to create some more related to our topic, which is the family. We've made some images representating different cultures and traditions.
Hope you like it!

All photos were created with Copilot.

We used the prompt ‘can you draw a family celebrating…’ and adding the specific celebration we wanted (Christmas, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year and holi).
We would use these pictures as visual aids to teach students about cultural and religious diversity throughout the year. Perhaps they could be starting points for discussion or even get substituted later on by students’ family pictures.
We barely encountered difficulties, only having to remember to be specific when making the requests.
When having people in the pictures, faces can sometimes be tricky and end up looking scary.

Lesson 11

Hello everybody again!

Today I've learnt about phising. This is an example of what you can receive in your e-mail:

And this is an example of some news that were reported 10 days ago: The email phishing scams to look out for in 2024 - Times Money Mentor (thetimes.co.uk)

And last but not least, I've made an Infographic in Piktochart about digital security for children, so they can be aware of some tips to be safer when they go out in the Internet.
Hope you like it!!

Lesson 9.5

This is todau¡y's lecture. It is a part in groups (the screenshots for the exercise 3) and individual work as well.

1. App or platform of choice

• Name: CHATTERPIX KIDS

• URL: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id734046126?mt=8&uo=4&at=10l3RC & https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.duckduckmoosedesign.cpkids & https://www.duckduckmoose.com/educational-iphone-itouch-apps-for-kids/chatterpixkids/

• Main features: the application consists in creating pictures into a video where you can record a message no longer than 30 seconds and it will transform it into a video where that picture talks! Apart from transforming a picture into a talking video, Chatterpix can also change the size of the mouth, add some background or "stickers" in the video in order to make it more attractive. Other features to remark about the app is that, the only option to export the video you've created is to save it in your gallery and afterwards you will be able to share it wherever you want, with the limitations of the gallery's share options.

• Explain how it was found on the web (words used to search): this application was known because one of our members already used it when he was in 6th grade and he really loved it. 2. Explain what it will be used for (what concept and how it will be explained) The purpose of this application, in this case, will be explaining to the children the concept of the "Family tree". We will use a picture of a tree, which we will include some details, such as eyes (in order to make it more visually attractive) and we will record a message where it will describe what the tree is about and its purpose.

2. Explain what it will be used for (what concept and how it will be explained): this will be explained in an english class, talking about the family tree.

• Script: “I am a Family Tree. When you look at me you can see the relationships between family members. Every branch I have is a family member: grandparents, siblings, cousins, …The bigger a family is , the more branches you will see on me.”

3. Add sample screenshots of what has been created and link if allowed:
